Raegan Lynn

After much anticipation Raegan Lynn arrived on Friday.
She looks JUST like her mama.

I stole this picture from Mary's blog, because I was too busy staring at her to take any photos.

Sing-Along!

I just read that they are releasing Mama Mia: Sing-Along Edition into theatres this weekend. They play the movie and when the actors are singing they put the words on the screen so everyone in the theatre can sing along! What more could a girl ask for?

You can count on my attendance!

Free Giveway Days

I have been to two Angel's Games this season. Both wear Free Giveaway Days. At the first one I got a John Lackey bobble-head that I sold for $5 to a man with a VERY large gold and diamond encrusted Angel's chain around his neck (I used the $5 to buy a delicious Ruby's Chocolate Shake).

And tonight they gave away free hats! So great!

M-I-C...See you real soon?

A new campaign has been started in honor of the Witts getting Disneyland Passes. There is really only one person that needs to be convinced, and in an effort to convince that person... Jonathan received this email today:

Dearest Jonathan,
I come to you as a concerned friend. I am concerned for your health and happiness, and that of the mother of your unborn children [Editor's note: WAY unborn...I am not pregnant]. I feel that your happiness is at stake because you do not own Disneyland passes. They may seem like a high investment at this moment seeing as it is not an anniversary or birthday for either of you but here is how it should be viewed. It is my birthday. I love to be happy. I love you both. I love Disneyland. So naturally the only possible and Christ-like solution to this issue, is to skip the Angels game tonight and attend the Disney Kingdom with your favorite person (Ryanne) and her favorite person (me) with my favorite person (Brandon) whose favorite person is you. See how natural this all seems?

If you have any further questions don’t hesitate to visit www.disneyland.com to purchase the tickets ahead of time, or www.katieshannon.blogspot.com to reassure yourself of how amazing I am.

See you at the Castle,
Katie

Another One Bites the Dust

I've got Katie hooked...it only took five times to prove it!

A picture of friendship...that's all.

No. 2

Katie Shannon...#2 in my heart after Jonathan!

Ojai has Come and Gone

My whole summer has been based on a timeline of "before Ojai camp" and "after Ojai camp" but now summer camp is over. It was so much fun, and last night there was that totally bitter sweet feeling of really wanting to go home and see my husband and not wanting to leave camp.

Just a couple of gems for your viewing pleasure.

It could have easily been...

...but it wasn't me who sent this to Post Secret.

Cricket in Times Sqaure

I am about to become a cricket killer.

I am in the office by myself doing some last minute things for camp and there is a cricket going full force. I have to kill the cricket or I kill myself....either way the noise HAS to stop.

Kind of sounds like the fire alarm that was going off in our house last night at 1:00 am. Maybe it just really all in my head.

I Can't Get Enough

I have just finished the second book and I will be taking the third book to camp with me. I am kind of scared to get to the fourth book. Then what will I do with my free time?

Starting Things Out Right

We had a party in our new home to watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics...all 4 1/2 hours of them. It ended up being a great night of food, friends and Olympics.

We ate Chinese food in honor of Beijing hosting the Olympics.

Courtney and Ashley made DELICIOUS fried rice on my request.

Brian created a whole diorama of a Chinese Factory complete with beer bottle smoke stacks - that had real smoke.

Josh started us off by leading us in the National Anthem.
There was a debate on whether you should put your hand over your heart when singing the National Anthem or if that was only when saying the pledge.

My heart was SO happy that our home had so many people in it, and I praised God that we had a place where everyone did actually fit.

And we finished the night with Katie's Gold Medal Funfetti Cupcakes.
